AUSTIN, TEXAS — November 16, 2023 – Signature Science, LLC is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Joe McDonough to its Managers Committee. In 2022, Dr. McDonough was named Vice President of the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Division at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), having previously served as the director of that division’s Pharmaceuticals and Bioengineering Department.
Dr. McDonough’s career includes more than 30 years’ experience in pharmaceutical research, leading vaccine development and chemical weapons medical countermeasures programs at SwRI, Signature Science’s parent company. Additionally, McDonough has served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve since 2011. Prior to joining SwRI, Dr. McDonough led chemistry, manufacturing, and controls development efforts for a diabetes compound at a small pharmaceutical company.
